Here you will find resources for Event Coaches.  Choose your event name on the left to find event rules, study guides and training videos targeted to that one event.

As you watch the introductory videos posted below, bear in mind that some details have changed.  For instance, we no longer publish printed rule books.   The "Extravaganza" is now called "Event Coach Training" and is likely to remain as a virtual event.

Tips for Event Coaches

As the schedule for elementary workshops organizes, you will find them posted to the right.  Workshops are hosted either by Macomb Science Olympiad or local nature centers.  Most require registration and have capacity limits.  Nature centers are likely to charge a fee per student.

If you have never attended a Science Olympiad tournament, the video below will give you preview of the fun and excitement that is to be had.  It was produced by Chippewa Valley of their 2016 district tournament.

Rock Hound Workshop - Coaches Only

This session is focused on how to be a better Event Coach for the Rock Hound event. Please do not bring students.

Rock Hound Workshop - Event teams

10:00 am - 12 noon; Room K 301, MCC South Campus, 14500 Twelve Mile, Warren
This workshop covers the major topics that students need to know. Event Coaches and students should attend.
