Chippewa Valley Tournament
Saturday, March 2, 2024
Chippewa Valley High School
18300 19 Mile Rd., Clinton Twp.
The weather will be pleasant. Wear boots.
At 7pm the night before the tournament, we look at the hourly forecast for the beginning of launch time. Launches will be cancelled if the forecast matches ANY of these criteria:
- Ambient temp will be < 32 degrees
- Wind speed will be > 20 mph
- Real Feel temp < 24 degrees
- > 50% chance of precipitation
At launch time, we may still cancel if:
- There is lightning in the area
- Precipitation is active and will continue
The decision to cancel a launch is not an easy one.
We have learned that it is impossible to conduct a consistent and fair tournament when launching in substandard weather conditions.
We will do our best to provide an alternate launch date.
This tournament is open to all registered teams
in the Chippewa Valley school district.
See the presentation that District Coordinator Kristina Flemming gave to the School Board on June 5th.
Event raw scores and team totals have been posted on the Past Scores webpage.
Photos from this event have been posted to our Macomb SO Facebook page!
Check out this tweet from Superintendent Roberts. We appreciate the support from CV schools!
Certificates of Accomplishment and Appreciation are posted on the Head Coach page under "Recognize your Team".

All members of a Second Team will receive a participation ribbon.
Second Teams ARE eligible to win medals and ARE included in the final team scores.
Alternate team members WILL receive a medal, should the event team place 1st - 4th. Alternate team members should be clearly identified before the competition.
Parents and Event Coaches are not allowed in closed event rooms during or after competition.
Head Coaches will receive ZipGrade forms and score sheets at the end of the tournament. These should be retained, awaiting release of the respective Category Indexes after the last practice tournament.
