Safari Camp Scholarship
The Detroit Zoo is the long-time sponsor of the elementary event Wildlife Safari.
Also for many years, the Zoo has generously awarded the 1st-place Wildlife Safari teams (K5 and K6 divisions) with a scholarship to its summer Safari Camp. This is a fantastic week-long, day-camp experience. Wildlife Safari event champions win this benefit in place of the other Einstein Award options.

You may think your family has seen everything there is to do at the Zoo. But every step you take you are surrounded by fascinating hidden stories about the animals and what it takes for them to thrive in this artificial habitat.
What do kids think?
The tremendous efforts going on behind the scenes are invisible to the average zoo visitors but Safari participants get a good close look.
